Synopsis:

Bouncer is ten-minute film that explores a nightclub doorman's innermost fears and his worst nightmare. Written by best selling author Geoff Thompson and based on his experience of working the doors in Coventry for ten years, Bouncer explores this world with brutal authenticity. Following an evening in minute detail, as events spiral out of control and two men are killed. As the story unfolds, Dave introduces us to his inner thoughts and surprising philosophies about bouncing, conflict and most of all fear. We experience violence without glamour- the type that unlike in the movies always carries a consequence. Shot on location in Coventry during February 2002,Bouncer is the first work of Geoff Thompson's to be translated to screen.


Paddy's Role :

A very angry club punter with a big grudge against the bouncers.

Trivia:

Ray Winstone was also in the film 'The Martins' as an overly aggressive children's entertainer with Considine. Additionally, the other bouncer Pete in the film played by Ronnie Fox played a traffic warden in 'The Martins' a which Considine nearly played in the same film.
